Meet Dr. Rachel Sullivan

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Rachel Sullivan was born in Springfield, MA, but her path soon led her to Cincinnati, OH, and then to Macon, GA at the age of six. Growing up in a military family, Dr. Sullivan had the unique privilege of experiencing life in various places with her wonderful parents and four sisters. Her family has always loved to travel together while staying active. Growing up, she was involved in gymnastics, dance, running, and competition cheerleading, reflecting a lifelong passion for health and fitness. It was clear early on that a career in healthcare, with a focus on making meaningful connections with as many different types of people as she can, was her destined path!

Dr. Sullivan’s academic journey took her to Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA where she was a student athlete on the competition cheerleading squad and earned her degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology. After graduating in 2020, she gained valuable experience as a physical therapy tech, where she first crossed paths with Dr. Patel! Dr. Sullivan then moved down to St. Augustine, FL to pursue her Doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She received extensive training from experts in orthopedic manual therapy and diverse physical therapy disciplines, soaking up wisdom from experts across the field. Throughout her clinical rotations, Dr. Sullivan was fortunate enough to learn from leading clinicians in various settings such as Revolve Physical Therapy in Houston, TX, In Harmony Pediatric Therapy in Woodstock, GA, and the Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center here in Macon, GA. She is grateful to have gained experience in different settings and is excited to put together all the knowledge and experience gained to provide exceptional care for her patients.

In April 2024, Dr. Sullivan proudly earned her Doctorate and moved back to her old stomping grounds of Macon, GA! A few months later, she celebrated another milestone—her marriage to Patrick, an active-duty Air Force member. Patrick and Dr. Sullivan’s paths first crossed when he was stationed in Warner Robins, shortly before her move to St. Augustine for PT school. She is excited to be back in Macon where her passion for physical therapy started. When she’s not dedicating her time to her patients, Dr. Sullivan enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, exercising, traveling, and experimenting with new baking recipes.

Dr. Sullivan is excited and ready to start her career at MVP Physio Dr. alongside such a welcoming and friendly staff. Having started off as Dr. Patel’s PT tech, she is grateful that she now gets to be one of Dr. Patel’s colleagues! Dr. Sullivan is excited to continue to learn and grow as a clinician. She is excited to use her skills in dry needling, shockwave therapy, manual therapy, and her overall orthopedic knowledge to rehabilitate, educate, and build lasting relationships with her patients. Dr. Sullivan is committed to enhancing the quality of life for as many people as possible, all while perhaps perfecting her elusive chocolate chip cookie recipe!
